Order of submission not ok? Spam protection triggered.

Description

have a look at the play count in my iPod (see attached picture.) And then have a look at my last.fm page. Even though there are no overlapping submission still the spam filter was triggered: "You submitted a track dated earlier than your last submission."

Just have a look here: http://www.last.fm/user/DDT3/ and compare it to what was submitted from my ipod.

To me it seems that lastpod is submitting the tracks in the wrong order... It has done this twice already. Place note that I am using the proxy as described in one of the other tickets...

I'm still having trouble wrapping my head around this bug. It all seems to be due to "Parse Multi-play Tracks". If you look at the playtimes in your screenshot you will see duplicates, for example "18-mrt-2008 15:31:25". This is done because LastPod is actually "manufacturing" a fake play count entry because the iPod does not store the full information. For some reason this does not always trigger spam protection.

Here are some other tickets to read up on (the change history too): http://lastpod.org/ticket/36 http://lastpod.org/ticket/58

Here's what I'm going to try...

On the manufactured track I am going to add 1 second to the time, so there are no exact duplicates. Maybe this will fix it?

It appears that last.fm was playing a trick on me too, because at the time I submitted this ticket more tracks were missing from my last played list. (Or I was not really looking). To test your idea I had a look at the submission list and unchecked all the tracks with the same date/time. That helped! All tracks were submitted as I expected them to....

So your fix sounds like a good idea, thank you!!!
